So brothers and sisters, i spose its finally time i shared with you all :D I hoped to show and tell when my box was looking sexy but unfortunately fate has conspired against me. Everything is looking pretty mediocre at the moment for some real life reasons (everything would be dead if my quick...

    Mewk's Tiny PC Grow / 69w CFL / 12-12FS / Soil

I would definitely agree with the 1cycle neut/1cycle water Mewk. Thats how i work it at least. Once the girls stopped growing you would probably want to be even more sparing with them (because it is an N heavy nute, and the plant wont be using quite so much). I seem to remember youre using...

lol funny advice in this thread... for seeds go herbiesheadshop or seaofseeds You can EASILY do a CFL grow for 200 dorra. Cardboard box, spray glue and mylar sheeting for the box, vanity fixture with a few CFL for lights, good soil. Sure CFL are a pain coz of the constant adjusting but after...

Deep red around 660nm yay or nay for flowering stage?

Most modern whites have very little deepred in them that i have seen (because its not very visible to human eyes), especially in comparison with the excesses some of us go to with 660nm. :P Personally 660nm makes up around 30% of my spectrum.

Chronikool’z LED + Organic + SOG + Party cup perpetual ‘boxes of fun’ grow!™

On the subject of point source vs distributed light i have to agree with you Pet. maths (inverse square law) says that distributed light is going to be more efficient for covering a 2D canopy, because of the exponential loss of intensity.

Ground Elder, Goutweed, Aegopodium running amok!

Good to know man...im organic in my weed garden is what i meant. While id like to stay as organic as possible, glypho is pretty inert in soil to my understanding, and this isnt my garden so you know. got to do something. I have chalky soil too, but generally wet as i'm in the UK. :D Do you...

    Mewk's Tiny PC Grow / 69w CFL / 12-12FS / Soil

hit her with those nutes at under quarter strength, Mewk. Your soil will have had quite a lot of nitrogen/veg nutes in it i expect, which will be running out by now. Just remember to keep it under-strength as tomatos are heavy feeders compared to weed.

Ground Elder, Goutweed, Aegopodium running amok!

Hey Gardening section, my first time in here! :dunce: So I am revitalising a friends vegetable and herb garden as a favour. Very quickly it became clear that the biggest issue is that it has not been maintained for a couple of years at least and there is a TERRIBLE infestation of ground elder...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

My point is, for example, that if you have a 100watt flower panel, a 100watt veg panel is overkill. You could achieve the results you want with like....a quarter of the wattage for veg. This is evidenced all over this forum. So, yes you could just veg with CFL i guess, but my suggestion was...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

Lol, why would doing a perpetual require more wattage to veg hyroot? In fact how would he be able to perpetual if hes vegging bushes that his flower panel isnt big enough for, or vegging them too fast? You clearly dont need to use the same amount of your wattage on veg as you do on flower...

why have a seperate veg light which draws the same as your flower panel? You can veg with a fraction of that wattage

    LED DIY : Reflowing @home.yes

Im not saying this isnt good info, I just wanted to add a disclaimer so people don't think its the ONLY way. Are you asking if anyone does DIY reflow? a few peeps here do. I use a clothes iron for mine. The expensive part is good solder paste which is ~$50 for a syringe (that will last for...

    LED DIY : Reflowing @home.yes

I think it should be pointed out that this is the "pro" way of reflowing, and its relatively simple to do it ghetto style by hand. The product is of course inferior but it produces nonetheless. :p Only posting this because it would be a shame to put people off reflowing (which is super easy)...

LEDs Stripping Back the BS. Vegging 6 Clones under 22 Watts

Yep, thats exactly it. What i mean to say is that they are a very, very simple and quick way to cool these multichips, could be suitable if you wanted to play around with them some.

LEDs Stripping Back the BS. Vegging 6 Clones under 22 Watts

I think Bumping Spheda started off by using off the shelf CPU cooling system (alu heatsink and fan), for computers, and mounted his multichips on that. then you just need a phone charger to power the fan and youre set.
