Plus, when the soil is dry, you can pull out the whole root ball and soil in a single clump. lol Has nothing to do with quality but does make clean up easy! But yea, I go with the science. I'm not a biologist or anything, but that community has came to the conclusion that at no point should...

Nice colors. No flush, just make your last watering a feed. Then just let the soil dry out till you chop. Letting the soil dry will give you a little jump start into burning off chlorophyll. I can tell you first hand the unflushed will have a bit more kick than the flushed, since flushing puts...

soil runoff ppm /when to start adding nutes

Are you using the FF trio? If so, don't use grow big. Too much N to be used in ocean forest. It works well in happy frog and light warrior, but not so much ocean forest. Big bloom however, is what you want to use at full strength (60 ml per gallon) all the way. Big bloom is all organic, so...

soil runoff ppm /when to start adding nutes

Well, for one you did the right thing by not using nutrients along side ocean forest. FFOF is a rich, hot soil, that can carry a plant 4-6 weeks worth of vegging on straight water. Add your bloom nutrients when you switch to 12/12

Ready to put in soil ?

it works, it just takes longer. Personally I germ in a paper towel until the seed cracks then I place it root riot plug. Usually 3 days later I'll have a nice seedling.

    hey guys! flushing question

It should only be done if your soil is clearly having an issue, whether it's lock up, toxicity, etc. If your soil is obviously causing problems, then yes a good flush helps. Regardless of whether you flush or not. All the remaining sugars in the plant get broken down during the cure period...

    hey guys! flushing question

Because all it does is neutralize your medium. The myth is flushing removes excess salts and fertilizers from the plant. This is false for 2 reasons. 1, Once a plant has consumed nutrients, there's no reversing that process. No amount of flushing will remove nutrients already consumed by the...
