It doesn't really matter. I use non pH'd tap water to the same results as distilled. I wouldn't use rain water personally.

There usually is more co2 inside your home than what is outside where they naturally grow. Significantly more actually.

Pistils don't always immediately grow out of calyxes. Sometimes it takes a few days for them to pop out.

10/14 doesn't make your plants grow faster, if anything they will grow slower. Less light = less time for photosynthesis more than 12 hours of light = will not flower less than 12 = not flowering enough

I spy a calyx growing on a node in the first picture. Give it a few more days.

Do 12/12. 10 hours on 14 off isn't benefiting your plants in anyway. No, they aren't showing sex as far as I can tell.

I don't think it's a very good idea to build a ballast. Would be a cool project but nothing I'd trust to run for months on end.
