Same with me, I've been getting nearly 30%-40% on some $8.50 a gram hash I get from the club just using my hand and/or body weight via standing on it. I guess I just expected a better yield after seeing someone on Hash Church doing it, but after thinking about it, he was like 140lbs tops... So...

Ya true but damn 300lbs is just 100lbs more than me. I was really hoping to push at least 400lbs from the unit just to double my weight if not more. I suppose technically 300lbs of force is 50% more than I can squeeze out with my body weight.. 1" x 2" though is smaller than the clamp heads so...

Man that almost doesn't even seem worth using anymore :-/ 1" x 2" when the iron I believe is bigger than that lol. I weigh 200lbs so 150 psi is just not an option haha.

Ahhh gotcha gotcha lol. Well @hyroot since you seem to have the calculations down as well, would size plates would you recommend me using for the dewalt hand clamp (600lbs clamping force). http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-12-in-X-Large-Trigger-Clamp-DWHT83185/204988146 Has the specs as far as...

    Twitch Extracts pneumatic press

I'm not using a 1 ton arbor press though :-/ I'm using a dewalt hand press that pushes 600lbs of force. http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-12-in-X-Large-Trigger-Clamp-DWHT83185/204988146 So quiet a bit less force eh? Would I still use the same plates you suggested? And what's a Wally World hahaha

Yeah the reason he posted those pictures and explained his old method was because I asked him about it.. Because myself and many others are still using hair straighteners so we all help each other in anyway we can..

Well fuckkk 600 lb press should handle it with a damn smile. Can't wait to get a new straightener and try again.

    Twitch Extracts pneumatic press

I was hoping to get one that goes lower for hash :-/ like 200f would be nice. But if this one is quality and is able to withstand the force your putting (the lbs of force I'm putting is only 600lbs) maybe I should go with this one.

Ok I get ya now. Perhaps I'll have to get that hair straightener you use as well. What's the lowest heat setting it goes to? Model #? Think I have some spare metal laying around somewhere.

I notice the picture but when describing his unit, the 2x2 plates were used for the inside of the straightener. He used a 3 x 1/16 for the top of the hair straightener.

The local Safeway near me stopped selling the 99% ISO so gonna have to source a place online.

Ok so basically put some plates or wood or something to spread the force, not to just concentrate it on the straightener? Did you say you added 2x2 plates to put IN the straightener? Is that so the inside ceramic heating plates are spread as well? You should make a video soon of a press!

Do you happen to have a picture or a video clip of your setup? Having a little trouble visualizing it but I think I kinda have an idea of what you mean.
