Mmm, maybe I am being a bit of a skinflint, I can get a 300g bag of TNC Bactorr for 20 Quid , a couple of bags would last me a grow. Do you rate the TNC Bactorr RKY?

How often to dose with Microbe Tea, Hydroguard etc.

I thought all of the molasses would be used up feeding and growing the microbes?

How often to dose with Microbe Tea, Hydroguard etc.

I have done that initially RKY, just thought the tea would work out cheaper and have a more diverse selection of microbes when the Worm castings have been added. This is my recipe bubbles for 18-24 hours. 5 UK gallons (23 litres) of dechlorinated water. 500 ml worm castings 25 ml...

How often to dose with Microbe Tea, Hydroguard etc.

Hello again. You lads must be getting sick of my questions by now. I have decided to go with a live RDWC system and have made some Microbe tea with TNC BactorrS13 - Beneficial Bacteria. Have spoken to the manufacturers for advice and must admit they were very helpful. My question is how...

Many thanks for taking the time to help me lads. My first RDWC grow may have been a write off but I have learned so much that it has almost been worth it (almost). RDWC is more labour intensive which was something I did not expect but I would never go back to coco. I have only been growing for...

Logan mate now I am totally bamboozled. So am I right in thinking it is really a case of looking at your plants to see what they are telling you then adjusting your EC/ppm accordingly, sort of old school growing and just using the ec truncheon as a rough guide.

I do struggle with this. I can see it makes sense but it goes against everything else I have read ie: Static water level, Nute ec going up means you are feeding to high as the plants can't take any more nutrients so don't drink, reduce ec and plants will drink more then work your way up from...

Many thanks Logan. Your post has been reasuaring and constructive. I do think I have jumped into RDWC and not realized what a fine line there is between success an failure. I also think there has been some root rot involved despite the pictures. Feeding to high with my first crop of...

This is my take on it. I've learned just enough to be dangerous!! I think I may have had slight root rot which made the PH drop and locked out calcium plus I was only feeding cal at half strength. I was just adding a splash of Hydroguard when I remembered after the initial full dose.

Thanks for your replies. Been using Shogun nutes but changed to GH Flora trio. I have been growing quite successfully for 2 years in coco so sort of served my time. I have problems keeping nutrient temps up just now as I grow in out building North UK. I have aquarium heaters in there and run at...

I am thinking it may be calcium deficiency. I have soft tapwater and was feeding Cal/mag at half dose. This along with low PH. Can plants lock out calcium?

I was feeding at 1.6 ec 800 ppm with 10 lpm of air through micro bubble stones so maybe overfeeding. PH was constantly dropping and they were not drinking much. canopy leaves were very dry and brittle. Some yellowing from bottom up. 600w HPS with adjusta wing hoods at 18 inches high.

I do think I have had thrips but there aren't any flyers. The plants are down now and a complete write off. Roots were OK I think brown but not to bad, I have posted a thread with pics.
