    Tall seedlings with bent cotyledons

I lowered the light (Marshydro ts1000 @ 25%) to about 18" above the top leaf as well. It was a bit higher earlier.

    Tall seedlings with bent cotyledons

I thought rockwool was supposed to prevent that? I'll try to shake some water out of the rockwool for now then. it's just a glass tupperware-type container.

    Tall seedlings with bent cotyledons

First time with seedlings and all the pics I've seen online show short stout seedlings but mine are really long with bent cotyledons. These are autoflower hybrids. I started in rockwool. thoroughly rinsed it with PH'd water then set it on some hydroton and put the seeds in about 1/2way into...

second grow in a all in one DWC that's meant for herbs witch has been repurposed for growing weed

I can't imagine that tiny of a space being able to support any plant that's going to grow taller than a foot. Is there really enough space for all the roots?

A RDWC system I can take apart and put back together every 3 months with ease?

I designed one to be moveable and thus easily removable. I'm going to use some barbed fittings and union couplings to make the hoses easily disconnect without having to drain the system. Use bulkheads w/ barbed fittings on the buckets to connect them all together.

    RDWC design feasibility questions

The return will be at the desired water (overflow) level, so there should be no root issues hopefully. Nice system you got there too! I should've used 1-1/4 sump hosing... didn't even know about it. Saw ridiculously priced 1" hose and stopped looking for larger stuff. Oh nice, I shoudl've...

    RDWC design feasibility questions

I decided to change over to 3/4" tubing for the return line and use option 3 in my pic. 1" would be nice but flexible 1" opaque tubing is hard to find and expensive. I'm using another 5g bucket as the res for now, and putting all of that inside a larger 27gal casa depot bin to keep noise to a...

    RDWC design feasibility questions

I plan to scrog, so changing buckets will be a pain once the plants get bigger. I also like the more stable ph associated w/ a res system and the ability to easily check ph/ec/ppm without entering the tent. I'm pretty much doing everything I can to prevent problems in the water and grow...

    RDWC design feasibility questions

The idea is to have buckets that are more easily moveable, so a rigid pipe system won't work for me. Otherwise, a big 'ol return line will definitely solve flow issues. Perhaps I should move to a 1" return tubing.

    RDWC design feasibility questions

Been doing a ton of research on hydro setups, but I'm not sure I've been going in the right direction or just down the rabbit hole. I'm trying to make a low-maintenance system for a small 2-plant autoflower grow w/ ScOG in a rather small 2.5x2.5 tent using 150w LED full spectrum lighting. My...
