Jesus christ... has anyone reliably solved the issues of weak growth in early veg under LED? What's the answer????

It sounds like your environment is within a safe range, but possibly too much light too soon/potentially overwatered. If your plants are not drinking like they should, they may possibly have gotten stressed from too much light too early, or getting overwatered, or a combination of the two. This...

Jesus christ... has anyone reliably solved the issues of weak growth in early veg under LED? What's the answer????

What are your environmental conditions? Leaf Temp? RH? Lux/PPFD? How young are these plants? Number of nodes? Size of pot/container? Are the plants drinking what you give them, or is the media staying moist longer than you’re used to? Your EC sounds just fine depending the size of the plants...

    Red light best for budding?

I don’t know man, grow environments are pretty dynamic so I just try to keep all the parameters in check. Also, like I said in my previous post, the average intensity my buds saw was not 1500-1700ppfd. Probably more like 1100-1350ppfd. Plants outside grow under 2300 ppfd with about 400 ppm of...

    Red light best for budding?

So to preface all of your questions, I’d like to give a little context as to the growing conditions I went through, which was by happenstance, not by design. I run a sealed closed loop 4’ x 8’ tent with A/C, Dehu, and CO2 tank injection and 10 mini fans. I measure light levels with a Apogee...

    Red light best for budding?

I have reservations about spectrums with these massive red spikes relative to the other colors. I’m currently using the R4 spectrum from Fluence and was able to run long and short flowering plants at 1500-1700 ppfd (Edit: without CO2 supplement) without stress or issue and the yield and quality...

Anyone run the Fluence Spydr Fang?

I run (2) SPYDR 2i fixtures which are almost the same fixture just with a different power supply (120v -277v). Same spectrum just slightly higher efficacy. Just an older model that cost me more than double the new price on the Fang series . I enjoy their performance though, they have...

Just how much Red/ Deep Red should be in the spectrum compared to the other colors (relative intensity)? What is enough/ not enough/ too much? Asking for a friend

    Whats your favorite light?

I’m currently using (2) Fluence Spydr 2i fixtures and I’m very pleased with their performance. They’re among the pricier units, but they have a pretty good spectrum for a commercial fixture, with pretty good output. I plan on supplementing the spectrum with some diy strip modules and some monos...

DLI values are actually a function of the total PAR values during a spot reading, averaged over the course of day. The equation is as follows: Convert PAR to DLI. Do this by using the following equation: PAR (μmol.m-2.s-1) x 0.0864 The 0.0864 factor is the total number of seconds in a day...

    High CRI White LED Chips/Strips

My thought would be to overbuild the light with max desired ppfd being set with all channels at 100%. I think 2-3 channels (3 would be sweet) of a mix of different color temps like some of the spectrums we’ve seen posted, could make some knockout veg spectrums. I’m thinking 2700K/5000K/6500K...

    High CRI White LED Chips/Strips

Thanks for sharing that SPDwith the different levels of relative intensity on the different strips! I will definitely have to play around with that configurator tool! This is where I would respectively have a difference of opinion. I’m with @Rocket Soul that same total DLI can be met with...

    High CRI White LED Chips/Strips

I found the SPD’s for two different tunable Bridgelux Vesta Thrive Strips. It shows the different spectral distributions at different levels of flux between the 2 color temps on separate channels. Pretty neat stuff!

Just for anybody’s reference, these are the SPD’s for the Seoul Sunlike strip modules. This SPD is from their Sunlike COB data sheets, but shows the individual color temps.

    High CRI White LED Chips/Strips

I hadn’t looked into these Vesta’s yet, I very much appreciate the suggestion! In that build that you did, were those the 90CRI tunable strips? Just looking through their catalog and I see that they have those Vesta TL in the Thrive 98CRI series as well! I’ll definitely be pouring over some more...

    High CRI White LED Chips/Strips

So this company YUJI LED makes a series of Strips that offer 2700k, 5000k, and 6500k color temps at 98CRI. The 5000k SPD looks amazing, but that particular board isn’t available on their website, and the chips they used to (AP 3030 series) are also sold out in that color temp. I can see why...

    High CRI White LED Chips/Strips

I came across these Luxeon Sunplus 3030’s today that look fairly promising for covering the red to deep red nanometers. These are from their horticultural line. The 2700k - 3500k seem pretty comparable to the Nichia Optisolis previously posted. Anybody got any experience running them...
