LED Thread regarding stalk weight difference between LED & HPS

@chiqifella I was only considering the mass of the flowers, which, fortunately, isn't subjective. As far as the other subjective qualities... I've never had an LED improve my cure! (Which I assign more responsibility for the other attributes.) Don't let the trolls get to you... You speak...

need grow room knowledge - from experience

I usually use carbon filters for about a year too... You'll know when it stops working. (You whole house will smell... nice!) I stopped using a carbon filter in veg and didn't notice an increase in smell... @Cold$moke has a great suggestion about washing the prefilter between grows...

in a 5x5ft tent - best lighting question

I used to run an LED with my HPS but I switched to a second HPS... I used to grow in a 5 x 5 tent with only a 600 watt HPS... I could've used a little more light... As for the choice between 600 watts and 1000 watts... (I now use both sizes.) The 1000 watt makes low-lying flowers...

LED Thread regarding stalk weight difference between LED & HPS

@chiqfella I agree with your assessment on penetration of LED light... Every LED I've tried had the same problem... Many people I've talked to are impressed with their LED grows until they actually use an HPS... Every comparison between LED flowers and HPS flowers I've seen, The HPS flowers...

LED Thread regarding stalk weight difference between LED & HPS

I've never tried CMH but when I researched it I found only one vendor (Phillips) for the bulb and it was outrageously expensive... While Phillips makes very good products, my experience with them is when they have you over a barrel they give it to you... Unless a second vendor has entered the...

LED Thread regarding stalk weight difference between LED & HPS

In my post COB stands for Chip on Board... I'm not sure what you are talking about when you use the word COB but, I assure you, The LEDs are mounted on a "chip"... The manufacturer calls it a COB but maybe they don't know as much as you... I typically don't feed the trolls but they are...

JACKPOT! Found unused 30-amp circuit for old dryer... what to do?

As @JavaCo so eloquently put it, "there is no cure for death in most cases" so the most important consideration should be safety... I would recommend hiring an electrician but there are books that can teach you how to wire to code safely... One circuit won't be that hard... Just don't take...

    Shall i just start over?

I can't really tell anything from the photos... When cloning, the cuttings use up the chlorophyll as they try to grow roots... This turns the leaves yellow and, if you wait long enough, eventually the leaves can turn white. Since it appears your plants are receiving insufficient nutrients...

LED Thread regarding stalk weight difference between LED & HPS

I've tried the first three generations of LED lighting and all three resulted in lower yield than my HPS... My last LED was a cheap COB... I like where they are going with the technology but, IMO, it's not quite there yet. I did a little research a few years ago and the LED limitation seemed...

    EMERGENCY!!! Powdery mildew! Harvest time!

I've also used Cervante's H2O2 wash successfully. I agree with @macsnax the buds look and smell fantastic. The main drawback is the added wash/rinse/dry step but it's a small price to pay. PM spores are everywhere so clamping room humidity, providing lots of air circulation within the room...

    Yellowing seedlings slightly dark edges

Seedlings need very little to grow roots that's why most people say no nutes for 2-3 weeks... I think Fox Farm also has a seedling mix... Happy Frog? Worm castings are a fantastic organic fertilizer! No matter how strong looking the seedling I give just water for at least two weeks. I use...

I need to know a few things about this problem. Details incl.

I'm not familiar with that brand but it sounds like it probably has enough for seedlings. When I fertilized too early once and stunted a seedling, I just switched back to water and the roots recovered. Your plant looks pretty good to me... Best of luck!

I need to know a few things about this problem. Details incl.

I am not familiar with your fertilizer mix so I can't comment on that. Seedlings need very little nourishment so I water only for at least two weeks. The coco mix I use has myco and all a seedling needs to grow roots. It's very common to stunt seedlings by burning the roots with fertilizer...

    She's sick

Some strains have naturally purple leaves, others turn purple due to cold. It could also just be an anomaly from the nutrient roller coaster it's been on... Your recent pictures look much better... It looks like @vostok hit the nail on the head. Best of luck!

    Curing issue

Paper bags are so simple but work great! The Boveda packs can supply a small amount of moisture or remove a small amount of moisture... I think they may help stabilize the RH during temperature swings but in my experience they can't take in much moisture so I always shoot for an RH just below...

    Curing issue

I dry for 2-3 days before placing the bud in mason jars. I then burp the mason jars multiple times a day for at least 7 more days. I also use a hygrometer to get a sense of how close the RH is to my target of 60%. The hayish smell only stays for a few days after being placed in the jars. I...

    Addressing Heat Issues

I have never had a stress-free summer crop because I have to grow indoors... I find the environment was too hard to control. I understand the desire to have a stable supply of medicine. Boveda packs and mason jars have become a necessity for me to bridge the crop-less months. At about 200...

Northern Lights seedling drooping. Slowed growth. Transplant Shock?

I agree that the best course of action is to leave it alone... I suggested your method as a good fall back if the OP really needed to save the genetics... The Blue Dream seedling I saved from damp off was a real eye-opener for me and I wanted to pass on the knowledge... Hope I didn't cause...

Northern Lights seedling drooping. Slowed growth. Transplant Shock?

It's normal to try to pamper your plants when you first start out... I think it's the mistakes that make you a better grower! @whitebb2727 suggestion is a good last hope if you need (or want) to save the genetics. (Learned that myself when I over-attended and underlit a Blue Dream seedling...

PLS HELP!!!!!!!Diesel fem &amnaesia haze auto.is it normal???? .this is my second grow..

I don't use runoff to determine whether I am overfeeding so I could be talking out the wrong end. Watering enough to see runoff using too large a pot size for a seedling, I would imagine, would negatively impact the root system because by the time the poor little seedling's roots were big...
