    A perfect cure every time

Most people say 5 or even 7 days of hang drying is best, but after 3 days my buds are crunchy and stringy and seem like they should go in the jars. It could be that the average RH in my place is between 36-40%, so its possible its drying the outside faster than the inside or stem (which doesn't...

    The Plug Seedbank

Maybe when I get to them but I've got a bunch of other seeds ahead in line to go first. They seem to average 9-10 week flower per the descriptions so hopefully worth the wait times.

    No stretching issue

Thats true, as long as I have a fan on the lights its mostly the drivers that give off the heat. Thats pretty surprising I read they can burn the tops easily but I guess it depends on the plant.

    No stretching issue

Ya its a bad habit I have lol I stop when they hit 3 weeks but you're right I need the water to hit roots not leaves

    No stretching issue

Hey there First time using my 476w quantum LED fixture vs old 400w HPS and seem to have an issue with plant not stretching. Right now my light is running at about 90% strength and is about 40 inches from the top of the plants. Recommended is 24inches but i'm assuming that is more for flower...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Dimming has seemed to work so far! Temps have stayed around 81F but with tent door open. Temporary fix for now as ultimately would prefer to run the lights at 100% when in flower vs around 80% or so now. But low temps are a plus!

Window Air Conditioner Freezing Up, Will Portable AC Do the Same?

Did you ever make that guide? Looking for a cheap/good way of bringing in cold air vs portable AC's which seem to have issues and less hole cutting in walls the better! lol

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Well I have one of those smaller sliding windows in my spare bedroom, so not sure if many of those AC window units fit. and wanted to avoid doing much to the window cause all houses in my area have AC and Heat so feel like people would wonder why I needed a window vent kit (other than the...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Thats a good idea as well. I was thinking of venting both as per my above door pic, but realized I haven't set up my carbon filter yet and would prefer putting it at the end of my intake vs putting in in the tent and pulling the air through it. I can probably place the filter close to the door...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I definitely agree with you there and for the most part i've been keeping my tent door open as that is helping cool it down a bit. I could maybe try keeping my spare bedroom door open a foot or two, have both intake and outake ducting go out the door (maybe have hot air up top of door and cool...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Ohh haha I see what you mean. Well most portable AC's seem pretty simple. Just put water in them and good to go right? I do know the better ones come with an exhaust hose on the back for the hot air, so i'd probably point the AC directly to an intake hole in the tent, and have the exhaust hose...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Oh I see what you mean. No unfortunately i'm venting the air to the same room as I didn't want to start cutting holes in the walls for venting to go through as I'm really not handy at all. Also didn't want to attach the venting directly to the window as it brings more attention than i'd like...

didnt sound like a dick lol did you mean if dimming the light doesnt bring down temps then a portable AC wouldnt either? i guess i dont see the correlation between the two lol

    DIY with Quantum Boards

ahh k just adjust the current and not voltage. i do have a fan just pointed toward the light (pic attached). Hopefully dimming works, plants just went dark so might wait till they come back on in a few hours so i can visually see the dimming occur. if that doesnt work i may need to cut some...

just looked and theyre 2x HLG-185-24A per the label and have two black hole covers on each. One for "adj Volt" and onec"adj io". im guessing leave the voltage and adjust "io"? Also can you adjust while light is running or only when off/unplugged? thanks for the reply!

wow 90+ degrees and no issues? i thought temps were supposed to be 70-82 degrees unless adding addition CO2 which then can go up to 85 or so. im running between 86-89 during lights on and 67-69 degrees lights off. thinking of adding a portable AC unit but interested in your opinion if you...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Would a portable AC unit help? the cheaper ones are around $300 to $400 though many this price range have reviews saying doesnt cool, some say produces hot and humid air, etc. Anyone have positive results with these?

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Hey, thats a good idea. This is my first time using Quantum LED board, do they take just a regular light dimmer you get at Home Depot or something? Similar to a fan a controller? Just plug and adjust? or is it more complicated?
