    Oregon outdoor 2019

Hey graying.geek, your EB build thread inspired me to build my own. I used it last winter with good results. I used a mix of 5000K and 3000K strips, each on it's own driver. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Growing hemp for CBD...

My wife has a friend that works at a local hemp operation. He brought us some of their extra plants to grow out. They are growing Cherry Wine. In the photo below, the one on the left and the one in the center are the Cherry Wine's. Definitely two different pheno's. They are just starting to...

This is my first time with this strain, but based on the photo on the breeders site, I feel that this is the way they normally grow. Blue Kali (f3) regular Blueberry X Shoe Polish X Purple Kush X Kali Mist. Tall plant with large buds, spicy smell, narrow leaves (sativa).

    Oregon outdoor 2019

I am only doing 2 plants this year. It has been a rough summer as I had Prostate Cancer surgery in June and then developed a DVT in my leg and a Pulmonary Embolism in my lungs and had to go back into the hospital for a week. I left the plants in the care of my wife while I was recovering. She...

I have moved our plants into our barn. Luckily it is a south faced opening so they will still get a fair amount of sun. I think that I need at least a couple more weeks.

Those came from a friend who pollenated one of his plants. I am not sure if he started from seeds or clones.

We have set up a canopy over our plants to protect the from the rain. Last Wednesday, we had a down pour where it dumped 0.4" in 20 minutes. I am sure if we did not have the canopy up, the plants would have been damaged pretty bad. Here are a few bud shots plus a picture of a visitor to the...

Thanks! I started the seeds around the middle of May. They have been outside since the middle of June. I am curious now the NL turns out. My wife got the seeds from the head grower at the farm she worked at last year. He said that those are 89 Northern Lights Noof x Northern Lights. I had...

My wife just got a job with a local commercial grower. She came home from her first day at work with Cola envy :) We're hoping she can pick up some good growing tips.

So you want to grow pot outdoors eh?

I hear you on that. We just spend the weekend harvesting our vineyard a week sooner than I would have liked as the birds moved in and were having a feast. We pulled in 1600lbs worth. The choice was to harvest early and have great amount of decent grapes or wait a week and have very little of...

So I decided to go ahead and pull some of my Pinot Noir plant tonight. I took about a third of the best stems. I figure that this will be enough to make my efforts worthwhile and if the rippers the the rest, so be it. At least now I can sleep at night and not worry. I'll let the rest go for...

This is Oregon Pinot Noir. I started 3 seeds and two of them were male. We survived the rains last week well. I'd say that we are still a couple weeks out from being done.

We rode out the wind and rain pretty well. I set up a quick and dirty hoop house on Saturday before the rains came in. My wife likes to call it the Chuck Wagon. Since it looks like the weather for the next 2 weeks is going to be nice, I was thinking of taking down the cover as it does stick...

Two of my three plants turned out to be male. These were cut down today. The other plant is definitely of female, but it is not too far along in flowering. The two males were the biggest of them all. While I am disappointed, I still learned a lot about outdoor growing and training. Now to...
