You can run MH during the veg cycle then switch it up to the HPS for the flowering. If you had 3 lights I might consider 2 HPS on either end and a MH in the middle but as you have only two lights I would stick to a standard configuration

I would run two. You can veg one and flower the other though an 8 week veg is quite a long time. Lighting a 4x4 is easier and you could just run them both in a cycle while doing your veg and flower in the same tent.
