here is the best and short answer . correct the water ph then your good to go . high water ph the plants absorb water now or later up to them . the soil is like a sponge holds water for the plant . i am talking average soils not live soils

dont bother to top it . when its a few months old cut your clones off it . you will be able to get 10 big clones from each plant with out cutting her down then when it regrows it will have many nodes perfect mommy . then next time you can get your 16 or so clones. my point is why waste time...

i did 1 tsp per gallon .... . i actually use it as my ph lowering . 1 teaspoon for 5 gallons of water lowers my water from 8.5 to a perfect 6.5 and add my regular nutrients .

i agree with you . but that is the best t5 grow fixture . i am currently using t8 led tubes i made a few posts about them . saves about 300 watts same results .as the t5 and mine are made for a warehouse
