The reptile t5s add UVa and UVb. I was using them with hps though, so I did not look into the LEDs. Purplebuz, do you run your UV for the entire time? I was getting bleaching doing that so I cut mine back.

I can't give you an exact number because there are no testing labs around here, but it improved frostiness and strength with all the strains I tried. I used two four foot t5s with 1200 watts hps. Pretty cheap for such a noticeable improvement.

If you are looking to improve the frostiness, you could supplement UV. They helped my hps, and they should help led too. They are expensive as LEDs, but tubes are pretty reasonable. Search reptile UV light. They only need to be run 1/4 to 1/3 of the time your lights are on during flowering.

I think you will the plants in the sweet spot during flowering to get the best yields and potency. My plants have always grown well getting less light when they are vegging than during flower.

I think at 1200w versus 300w the LEDs are abit disadvantaged. You should check out @Greengenes707 thread though, he is a good grower and did an hps / apache comparison grow.

It will be all good brother. I thought you might be able to move some since it was not long ago the roots were not reaching down far enough on all of them. I am kind of surprised the chronic thunder is the smallest of the bunch. Is that not a fairly fast flowering strain?

It will work. A constant current driver supplies the same amperage regardless of what is hooked up to it, and the voltage is pulled as needed up to the max. You can even use small, monocolor LEDs and large cobs together on the same string as long as they need the same current. And from what...

You are very lucky to have those then. I would suggest f2ing them just in case. Sounds like he wants to keep using that strain, but the search for a new mom could take a bit.
