The 2nd pic is evidence of thrips.... you will see tiny black spots from the thrips eating the leaves, and whitish spots on the tops... the underneath side may have tiny eggsacs. Typically they are not a hug problem, but this summer I was crazy busy, and let a few plants in another room get out...
