I don't think thats what they were saying. At least what I thought was to run a plant all the way through flower, than when you cut it down, graft on another plant or two onto the trunk which has a nice large root system. That's what they do with fruit trees. You have graft the type you want...

I've used BM as a foliar with great results. 1ml/gallon, then sprayed every 7 days from the beginning of flower for three weeks, so 3 times total. Seemed to help in my mini t-5 grow. T-5 lights don't have a lot of penetrating power so you have to stay short.

I'm no expert, but my understanding is anytime you cross two different plants and they are not descendent's of each other, they're F-1's, even if their from the same stock. Even if they're brother and sister, although they say it's not good to cross brother and sister but I'm not 100% sure why...
