    Canopy angle

As far as I've seen plants getting less direct sun finish earlier, and I noticed once I got to growing plants in the 3-5 lb range, the north side of most were ahead of the rest of the plant. Seriously a week sooner on that north side, also smaller buds and not as many of them.

    Canopy angle

I'm talking about the north side of the plant will get shaded by itself, and the south side will be thicker. My plants are getting spread out in about 2 weeks. 10ft x 10ft per plant with aisles. North side can also be a week ahead of the rest of the plant because of the shade.

    Canopy angle

Alright I won't keep updating through the season, you can check these plants in calicos dozen-ish thread. I'll do an end of season on these maybe, to show how they develop and look when budded and leaning over to follow that sun, and how the north side just won't have as big or as many buds as...

    Calico's dozen-ish

Been busy finishing up as much chainsaw work as I can before the fire ban, sorry for the delay for anyone who is following this. Here is a shot of the smallest plant that is trying to flower. Normally I would expect most varieties to re veg and be alright, not so much with these early 7 week...

    Calico's dozen-ish

Yeah I know, I may leave the bigger one to see what it does. I have a bunch of early finishers and have slowly been "weeding" them out due to light sensitivities. In short, I think anything that finishes before mid september may be too much of a hassle to keep around or maybe these strains...

    Calico's dozen-ish

Alright pics to come later today. Dilemma about my next move. I adjusted my light to turn off at 10:30 pm instead of 11 pm. Now 3 of my early plants are trying to flower. I do have some back up plants that are almost as big and probably not as light sensitive. I can dig up the early flowering...

Unknown Plant Issues PLEASE HELP A ROOKIE GROWER!

That dirt under and around your plant does not look like fox farm.

    First outside grow...

That's a good point about the morning, way better than plants steaming up for a few hours. I started doing this a few years back when many people had not heard of it, definitely raised some eyebrows but it worked and didn't need the dehums and fans that everyone else did.

    Humidity

yes, definitely risking some bud rot. My dehum keeps it about 55% at the most and no more mold in big buds. You pulling humid air in at night?

    First outside grow...

and since you're in the south, you'll probably get moldy plants unless you do something about the humidity when they are sealed up for 12 hours. You could also cover starting 12 hours from sunrise, then uncover after sunset so it's only sealed up for 4 hours or so.

Shaggy's cindys blue cheese and mastodon grow

I actually emailed them a bunch and tried to find out how they came up with the numbers, and never got a definitive answer. I think They probably started the seeds in May and just grew them out. What I am curious about is, when to cut off the supplemental light because they are super light...

    Chicken Wire

Why not dig the trench and just bury the chicken wire? Then you don't have to carry 2x4's to your spot. If it's rabbits, you might want rabbit wire, it's thicker and probably won't corrode or get chewed through, plus smaller holes to keep other rodents away from your roots.

trimming, wet vs dry vs nug size vs bowl vs trimpro

This machine cuts my time down to about 2.5 hours total, to clean up a pound and it doesn't damage like most of the other machines out there. You can rent em in town for around $250/day. The smaller one that I have means you run it about 20 minutes per pound, then you have to clean it up. All in...
