I cannot comment from experience, but i've been looking to upgrade my lights to led aswell. And from most of the information i've seen, people tend to switch out their mars lights with either Cob's(chip on board) or Quantumboards/Chilled. Me personally after all the research I have done...

Honestly I looked for the Samsung f series strip @nfhiggs mentioned and it gave me a headache going through digikey. And keeping the lights closer dont really appeal to me all that much. Is there a simple way to avoid drilling the ceiling to put up fixtures?
