    Flushing question, no debates please.

7 pages of useless debate later...no problems from flushing at 8.0, followed by a gallon at 6.2. The girls are happy and healthy and getting fatter every day. Not to mention stinky as hell!

    Flushing question, no debates please.

I grow for personal use only. I don't care about getting a few more grams or even alot more, I know each round I will have way more than enough to last through the end of the next one. I care about having the smoothest finished bud possible, so i will continue to flush, even though I don't...

    Flushing question, no debates please.

I keep reading here and other forums, in the argument against flushing, that one cannot flush nutrients from a plant... And to this i say, "no shit." The point is to remove the salt buildup and excess fertilizer from the *soil*. So the plants are forced to use up what they have stored in the...

    Flushing question, no debates please.

Definitely has chlorine in it. But they've been getting that water for the whole grow and hasn't seemed to be a problem.

Thank you for your response Bob. Is this coming from experience?

    Flushing question, no debates please.

I'm surprised to not have a response yet, but so it goes. It is Saturday after all. All you young bucks are probably out partying. I'm probably gonna wing it and run the tap water through them followed by adjusted water as planned. Unless of course I see a response that says "noooooo don't...

    Flushing question, no debates please.

I don't want to come off as rude, but I don't care to hear the debate, I'm one who flushes at the end of flower. That's what I've personally determined works best for great tastings buds, so that's what I've stuck with over the years. I've always, always, always flushed with pH adjusted water...

    No roots??( please don't criticise)

I was just stating that the possibility of this girl pulling through exists, if the seed is important enough to bother with. I never expected it to survive, and so didn't do anything special, not even rooting hormone. Just FFOF soil and ph'd water. She was no longer than 3/4" when she broke...

    No roots??( please don't criticise)

I did this once and just pushed that little stem down in the soil. It eventually rooted itself but of course was weeks behind the others in growth. I topped her once and she grew out to the the same height as all her siblings, but they were mainlined and lst'd, so 4 times the size of her. If...

    Is this TMV???

I've also experienced this on a seedsman blueberry. Between this and some serious fert burn, she ended up in dire straights and had to go to the compost pile. I did take two clones a couple weeks before things went really sour and they grew out ok, still showed the effed up mosaic-like pattern...

    Lst question!

Just leave them on until they fall off themselves. If they're not getting enough light, the plant will cannibalize those leaves and send the nutrients where they can be put to better use. Those lower leaves also happen to be the power plants for your first branches.

Sea Minerals: Do We Need Anything Else?

And on the other hand, although slightly off topic, i think it still kind of applies to this discussion, there is mj growing underwater off the coast of Chile.. https://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com/blogs/marijuana-news/17135976-seaweed-fisherman-discovers-underwater-field-of-marijuana-in-chile

Sea Minerals: Do We Need Anything Else?

I'm not so sure about all this. Ive read about this stuff before and laughed it off as snake oil. A question for those considering trying this... Have you ever tried to grow anything in native soil in a beach town, especially within a few blocks of the beach? I have, and most plants don't...

    last try

I see a few issues. IMO, you overfed at one point, hence the dark green leaves and tips curled down. And then not enough, hence the now yellowing leaves, especially the lower ones, while newer growth looks mostly ok. It also appears you may currently have or had at one point a cal/mag...

    Fungus gnat?

I found pool grade at home depot and food grade on amazon. Again, I may have been lucky to not have any problems when i used pool grade. Others have warned against it.

    Fungus gnat?

DE is readily available and will kill the larvae AND adults quickly. Sticky traps catch some adults, but not all, and in the meantime they're reproducing like crazy. The adults are not the problem. The larvae will eat up your roots and can screw up your crop if left unchecked and allowed to...

    Fungus gnat?

Erm... food grade DE specifically. The pool grade is supposedly not ok, and I wouldn't even think of adding pesticide grade DE, who knows if there's chemicals etc in that stuff. I've personally used pool grade in the past without problems, but I could have just been lucky. Safest bet is to...

    Fungus gnat?

I'd have to say yes to fungus gnat. Hard to be 100% without an idea of size, but it looks like one to me. Get some dietomaceous earth and sprinkle along the top of the soil.
