if you dont use a timer you can end up getting the water too hot anyway depending on the pump your using and kill your clones. the water can easily get like a hundred degrees.

When leaves yellow from the bottom up its usually a deficiency and spots are usually a calmag problem. Make sure you are putting calcium and magnesium in your water as well. Oh also make sure your keeping around a 5.8 pH I believe for hydro or you could be locking out the nutrients so pH pen...
