What ppm had you been feeding at before that? 700 ppm is not that high (it's not that low either) in a root zone, you have to keep in consideration that you flushed with RO so it's gonna pull every last salt out of your root zone. I haven't flushed plants in so long, dial in your feedings and...

If you are not DTW I would not recommend any kind of beneficial batteries. Just keep it sterile, it's safer and much more cost effective. Your roots look like a plant that was watered too frequently. Never teaching the plant to go send out its roots to find water. Gotta really dial in that...

Are you noting the time of day of the droop? Some strains will droop at the end of lights on.

    What's your nute ratio?

I go through the 5 gallon jugs so fast I never seem to get much. Wish they made 55 gallon drums.

Do you reuse your water after feeding or DTW? Could see this being a problem in a recirculating system but not drain to waste.

Unfortunately perlite has such a low CEC level that your really not going to be able to change the PH of the perlite itself, but that low CEC level also means it won't hold nutrients or essentially anything (with proper irrigation) meaning you give it everything and you control the ph of the...

Perlite has a ph between 7.0-7.5. Could be the high ph reading you were getting. Gotta flush the shit out of perlite, hydroton or grow stones which is why I hated them.

Keep in mind the humidity of your room will play a large part in nutrient uptake. If your room is dry the plants are going to transpire more water than "ideal" and leave behind excessive salts in the growing medium because they are using the water faster than the nutrients. I run my rooms at a...

Yes but it's still just another source of potassium if he uses potassium silicate. Maybe if he used Monosilic acid instead.

More about the concentration of which you'll have to use. Bicarbonates are pointless and will build up. Hydroxide will break down into water with very little salt build up. What base nutrients are you using? What's NPK?

    pH won't fluctuate...

Just get it between 5.6 and 6.2 and stop worrying about a swing. If it gets above or below those then change it. My Rez is always at 5.8-5.9. Never moves. Plants are more than happy.
