    Trichomes & Harvesting

It won't shock them. Just don't feed substantially more than you did before.

    Trichomes & Harvesting

At least another 2 weeks. Pistils have not receded and the buds look small-ish. If you want maximum production (and maximum harvest) then you did 'fug' up by quitting feeding. Stopping feeding the plants in the most important stage of growth (late bloom) will lead to deficiency and reduce the...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Based on that information I would give it at least two more weeks (depending on trichome development). Just keep an eye on the trichomes (with a loupe or microscope or powerful camera).

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Need more information. How are the trichomes looking? How long has the plant been flowering for? Any chance of a side view picture of the calyxes?

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Buds look small-ish and the pistils have not receded into the calyx. I would say at least another week, if not more.

Why is this weed sparking and sizzling?

Nutrients aren't stored in the calyx(es). The flushing myth has nothing to do with this. It's still a myth with no evidence. It's either because of seeds in the calyx (hermy), stems in the joint/mix (stored nutrients combust) or a very bad dry & cure. Most likely it's a combination of stems in...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

I'm glad you found it helpful. Remember to use a loupe, (USB) microscope or a high MP camera to take the images.

    Trichomes & Harvesting

You're welcome. I think you would benefit from getting a microscope or a loupe. They are fairly inexpensive and can really help you out a lot. Regarding the picture, I see some clear and some cloudy trichomes. It's hard to judge based off just a few trichomes and just one spot on the plant. I...

how does she look? tric pics

The latest images you posted are quite hard to make a prediction from. All I can see are a few amber trichomes, some clear and some cloudy. In any case it's better to harvest a bit late than early.

    the perfect temp?

Drying your weed that fast can really harm the outcome and lower tha quality of the end product. It won't allow for proper and thorough breakdown of the substances which lower quality / taste / appearance; like chlorophyll. And it doesn't allow terpenoids to mature either. I'd say a 6-7 day dry...

    Stressed about the drying process..

Well I didn't mean that it's physically impossible. I meant you shouldn't do it if you want the best out of your product (which the end goal for all growers I'd say). Btw, I think you should read this thread: https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/557965-48-hours-darkness.html I think...

    48 hours darkness ??

THC is the product of decarboxylation. It's not present in the form you think it is. THCA is present in the plant during growth, in different stages of synthesis. Clear trichomes containing mostly precursors in various stages, cloudy trichomes containing fully realized THC(A). Trichome...

    Stressed about the drying process..

Why are you getting upset just because I said that it's not a good idea to dry and/or cure in a flowering room? It's basic cannabis growing not to expose harvested weed to UV light. I wouldn't recommend anyone to dry & cure their weed in a flowering room. Sure you can do it if you have to, the...

    the perfect temp?

If you can't afford a humidifier you can hang up wet clothes/fabric and seal off the room well, it'll be tough to get the RH to stay @ a proper level but it'll do the trick. You will need a hygrometer though.

    Stressed about the drying process..

You can't dry & cure in a lit room. That'll break down the cannabinoids. And the temperature and RH will probably be an issue if you have not sealed off the growing room. Best bet in that case is a ventilated dark space, like a dresser with some fans built in. Edit: Can't*. What a spelling...

how does she look? tric pics

It's hard to call without seeing the entire plant but if it is a small-ish plant then I'm sure it's been grown fully with a 3 gallon pot. I'd say chop sooner than later if you are seeing more amber trichomes (have you taken other trich pics from other parts of the plant to get a full picture?).

how does she look? tric pics

Trichomes show age (quite a lot of amber trichomes, not sure if you looked all over the plant though). But from what I can see of the buds they look rather small. What strain is it?

    Trichs Never Turn Amber

It's down to the genetics of the plant. But the couch-lock effect does not stem from CBN. Whether a strain delivers a couch-lock effect or an energetic effect is down to the phenotype. A Sativa strain will deliver an energetic high. An Indica strain will deliver a couch-lock high. Hybrids can...

    Trichs Never Turn Amber

How is abiding by scientific research, studies and evidence equivalent to '1 set of rules'? It's the exact opposite, nothing is factual until it's been rigorously proven by 'countless' seperate tests. This is after all a plant, and a very sturdy genus at that. You can basically toss the seeds...
