EFs R&DiY LED, Circuits, Arduino, Hot Peppers and more thread

lol salmonetin, so much to read I will have to look over it later. The "advanced code" is not ready, I've been working with it slowly. It uses the Adafruit RGB-LCD shield to display the current time, humidity and temperature. One of the buttons (select) is a manual ON/OFF for the lights and...

You need 4-wire fans to use pwm. The fourth wire controls speed like inside your computer.

EFs R&DiY LED, Circuits, Arduino, Hot Peppers and more thread

This is the code for a simple dual timer for arduino I pieced together, Its for keeping your main lights and flower initiator in sync and can be set to the second if you see fit to do so. It requires a DS1307 clock module and you have to set the time from a computer. I have a more advanced one...

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Remember I'm using 4-wire pwm fans, I can get them to run stable at 20% speed off the 12v power source. I built a PWM circuit with integrated 5v regulator to control the speed with a 100k pot. The fans, PWM circuit and arduino timer which controls the timing of the main white lights and the 730...

So what you're saying is I went overboard, no surprise its what I'm good at. My setup: 5.88" x 18" = 4680cm² Sanded to 1000g and anodized black CXA3070 AB X 2 @ 1050mA = 76W dissipation 61cm²/W so it should be just under 40% efficient if run passive. The thing is I also have a 12V 140mm 3000...

The Chronikool of the Crytochrome and the all Conquering Cree™

^^^^^^^^ Is that plant actually a polyploid Mo? I always thought triploids were sterile, or are you calling it that because it has the 3 leaf thing going on. I always like when plants have whorled phyllotaxy but they usually went away after a few nodes with me. I started a mainline one time...

    LED Companies w/ LINKS

That price is insane. I recently obtained a Stealth Grow SG602 case with heatsink/fans I was thinking of making into a dimmable 300w light fixture using Mean Well HLG drivers and 6 COBs @1400mA. It would be awesome for a 3x3 but I really don't have the space but I figure someone will be...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Thanks goud, I knew you would know all about it. So I talked to the guy about what needed to be done and gave him a few options. Ultimately he decided to go with using the working drivers from one light and the working board from the other to make a single functioning unit, the leftover parts I...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Ok so I'm fixing a guys Stealth Grow 602's, he says he has 12+ of these things but two have not lighting up fully anymore. I said I would take a look at them for $, I tested the drivers and they all work fine I tested the diodes. I marked the burned out ones, some of the dead ones still let the...

Smoke report, literally as we speak. I'm getting a nice sugary fruitiness with a unexpected nutty undertone in the smoke flavor. Buzz goes straight to the head from the first toke and seems to settle into the shoulder after a few min. ....Its been about ten minutes and I'm noticing the spread...

I haven't put that waterblock to use yet because I'm not sure its a good idea also. I do however have a couple vero18s and my pepper cabinet should be ready in a few days. I could run it for a week or so and test it out now that I have parts and space. Maybe I will try and set it up this weekend...

Loving the info Supra, I'm liking the new 4.9" profile and while surfing their site just now I found a pdf on the FAQ page with some good info in it also. In it I am seeing that some of theirs and your perimeter #'s don't match, check it out and see for yourself...

    ...All Things Vero...

I got a question about cooling these Veros, specifically the 18s and the HSUSA 4.85" profile. Do you think driving 3@1050mA on 28-30" length with a decent 120mm fan will work ok? I remember @SupraSPL mentioning that profile a while ago but I can't remember in what amounts. There is a 3000 rpm...

Well when I put her in the dark i basically forgot about her so she dried herself for me. I little drier than I normally would like but its good enough, I should have got some glamour shots when she was still hydrated because she seems to have lost the vibrancy of her colorful hues. Using a drill for cutting quite common with metal work by hand, rough it out with the drill and detail the rest with metal files... Old-school. I feel lucky I work with cnc routers and laser cutter, neither is good with steel but being able to cnc aluminum is unbelievably handy.

OK I put her in the the dark last night and here is the pic with the flash when I put her in. There is still lots of clear heads and only 10% amber but a few days in the dark should finish her off. She is not the biggest but is definitely the most colorful entry this round (hopefully that counts...

    DIY led grow

Well the easiest way to control the dimming that I found was not real PWM, its done using the 0-5v and amplified to 0-10v. SDS was the one who drew out the circuit for me months ago its done with a 10v regulator and transistor. I put it together and everything worked great but I still just use a...
