Yes you can lollipop an auto. I do so up to 2 weeks into flowering and it really does boost yield/quality.

Lollipoping is as simple as trimming of the lower sucker branches to as dramatic as trimming up to a foot of the lower branches/leaves off of the main stem until you have a tall, bare stem with a bush on top. Looks like a lollipop. Link...

Light LST is fine, and even a little lollypoping, but definitely not topping. I grow them outdoors and if they get topped by bugs, critters, whatever I just pull them up. The yield is poor as there is no elongation of the veg period after the stress of topping.

I would caution the use of full strength FFOF as it is a preloaded fertilizer mix. Granted, much better and more balanced for mj than MG, but you can have the same problems, imo.
