Because people will buy them. That's 90% of the bottles at the hydro shop. You need base nutrients. That's it. Everything else is a gimmick marketed towards new cannabis growers.

Yea they are not cheap. I honestly feel like they pull more than 105 pints a day. I've had one run a 12'x18' grow with a 9'x12' canopy space for about 2 weeks when the other in the room quit working.

NO!!!!! Mix one gram of calcium hypochlorite into a seperate bottle of distilled or RO water. You just made a gallon of sterilizing solution that you use at 2-3 ml per gallon of your nutrient solution. So you would use 50 ml in your 25 gallon Rez.

With nutrients. Don't buy that shit though. Go to a local pool supply and buy some Calcium Hypochlorite based pool shock. Mix 1 gram of that into 1 gallon of distilled or RO water. Use at 2-3ml per gal on every nutrient change or top off. Pennies on the dollar compared to Zone.

How to make, 40 site watering system

You can do 1/2 or 3/4 inch tubing to "spaghetti" lines. Don't use any drip stakes, just get the clips to line the spaghetti tubing up to soil. Less chance of clog. Buy a good pump, 1/2 hp IMO bout $150 bucks. You'll have killer even pressure even if your system isn't built the most effective way.
