    Programmable smart potentiometer

Is there a cheap programmable potentiometer that can be programmed by a app and smart phone or over the wifi and browser? I'm looking at this driver and instead of using a simple potentiometer I was wondering about controlling the light intensity, on / off schedules via a app. It would be nice...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

What's the general consensus on how far apart to space each strip? For example, the tent I'm looking at is a 2x5. I was planning on running 16 strips, the ones I posted above, at half their capacity which would be 30W per strip for 480W. How far apart would you guys space them out? 12 inches x...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Anybody know of 660 / 750nm only strips? I'd like to add a little boost to the overall lights. This seems a little expensive right...

I believe running them softer gives you a more complete and quality spectrum output.

Bro, love the enthusiasm...but I grow in hempy buckets for a reason. I want drop dead simple! I don't need water cooled lights, I'll leave that to you guys that like to put disco lights in your computers. :)

Isn't the bridgelux hort line called thrive..what's your opinion on those; and additionally on the new EB3 series? Other than efficiency has anybody looked at who has the best spectrum for plants from the big boys?

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Th Think I'm going to try some 301H and 281B+ since they are fairly cheap on alie. Hopefully those are decent diodes, the strips have 660 and UV as well.

Right, I hear you and thanks so much for the feedback as it's greatly appreciated. But, when you say too hot for my liking I have no idea how much heat is too much. What's a good temp to aim for strip wise? 90-100F? What's considered too hot..110F+? Do we have a idea of this info? I'm basing...

What's the thought on heat sinks vs no heat sinks? Can you push modern strips at half their rated output without them? I was hoping more of you guys did it so a hypothesis could be formed..seems like just a few do thus far. I though the manufactures gave a value of when and when not hs were...

Interesting, wonder how this is different than the spinosad everybody hates..both are soil derived bacteria? I'll look into this, keep us updated on how it works.

I wondering something like the following before starting as in a preemptive preventive: 1. Bug bomb the room you plan to grown in? 2. Ozone shock it? 3. If you have carpet, put down a tarp to keep carpet clean? etc?

I might juice it up but it already has a spot, I have a new spot and wanted to build a new light. There's not anybody that sells reds, assuming you're speaking of 660nm, and UV only strips for a very reasonable price is there? Cutter is the only one I'm aware of and they are pricey. My option...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Bridgelux gen2 did me pretty good and those lights from the specialty makers are just too pricey. I figured I'd go with bridgelux or samsung but wanted the best strip for the money here in 2024. What I want to do is add on some strips with 660nm and some UV to try and get closer to what my CMH...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Yes sir, I thought about using a sheet. Fact is ..I don't mind building it like I did the other one. It's just I keep hearing from a few people that heat sinks are not required if you run then soft..thus I'm trying to validate it and quantify what soft is from a mathematical / electrical...

I've moved from the city to a rural area and want to start a indoor grow tent grow this winter. I never had a issue in the city with bugs and thus never sprayed anything in years of growing. However out here in the country there's bugs everywhere..lol. What can I do before I start even putting...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Yes, those are heat sinks..good ones to. I used aluminum flat bar with thermal tape. Below is a pic of my old light. Anyways, some people are saying they don't use any sinks so I'm like how are you mounting them? In your case you are using heat sinks. Where did you src that from as flat bar is...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

So, you do or don't use heat sinks? It sounded like you were saying you don't use them but then said something about angle iron and heat tape which is what I used. When people say ..."you don't have to use heat sinks unless you drive them hard" ...what is hard vs not hard? For example, lets say...
