airwaterice.com they are super nice guys also with top quality ro and ro/di units. typhoon III is what I use, used it for my reef tank previously. ro comes out at 5 ppm, ro/di 0 (don't bother using di though for grow room, I skip that stage). I have a 75gpd unit.

I run sour diesel mostly (sativa dominant strain) in hydro, flo n gro 4 gal buckets. I veg for 3 weeks, flower is closer to 10 weeks though but pull 4-4.5oz per plant, 6 plants per 1k light.

I use perlite and 6" grodans in 4 gal bucket flo n gro with net pots. grodans hold a ton of water.. only water once every couple days in early veg, then move up to once a day in later veg and flower. I would like to find an alternative to the grodans, something similiar but holds a little less...

you know of something similar to 6" grodans but holds less water btw?

I had read it flattens out over time.. its a cotton like material. I was going to try the 6" blocks they sell but after hearing they become half their size over time was kinda turned off. Local grow store stopped selling them too because of everyone complaining of algae problems.

Thanks for the info all, I was told house and gardens nutrients you are suppose to use the 700 scale.. so that is what i set my meter to. I have been using 1.2-1.7 ec in veg with meter set at 700.

that could be, temps are 70 to 79, usually topping off at 77, sometimes hits 79 in veg room. Flower room is 69-75, sometimes hitting 77.
