These seeds do float, but I didn't think that it mattered because I have had seeds germinate that both floated and sank. But I will try cracking them to see if that persuades and if not I'll throw some in the refrig for a while.

Any tricks ? Tried soaking in ph,d peroxided water Tried paper towels Tried abrading shells Maybe freeze ? Acid ?

Seeds plucked from bags back in the late 70s early 80s, I remember strains like Acapulco, Panama, Colombian and Thai... Hoping there might be some hidden treasure in here, but unfortunately probably improper storage, i had no clue back then... Made a few attempts at trying to pop some of these...

Excellent idea putting it in the oven, takes the time out of drying it after boiling. Here's a quick picture of my seed starter minus the clear dome.

For years I have had really good luck using the Canna Coco as a seed starter for vegetables and now..... I use it in the domed self-watering seed starters and if feeling compulsive, I would actually boil the Coco in a large pan on the stove. Let it dry in paper towels then fill the seed tray...
