Thirty gallon smart pots should do fine above ground,the black plastic gets real hot above ground and doesn't work very well in hot weather

sink your pots in the ground or that 100* weather will fry your roots,i live where it is hot anything less than a 20 gallon pot might need watering twice in one day if a heat wave hits.Looks good so far good luck

Plants adapt to low humidity here in socal quite well and the late finishing ones seem to do well also. Here in the high desert some of us veg indoors until the 4th of july harden them off and put them outside and they flower right out.this will give you a nicer plant thats less beat up but...

Never had a problem myself as stated start slow with the nutes.I like to put some water on the plants before i add the nutes.

Having water close by i don't use any i wouldn't want it to bleed anything into the soil or the hassle of moving it while i water.
