What to do if room humidity is constantly 70+%?

Silica gel would probably work better than rice. Just get a bag of kitty litter crystals.

What to do with a pollinated plant in late flower?

They would be female since it's a true female plant, not a hermie? What about tendency to self-pollinate? Might have been because light stress or the emergency defoliation I had to do in flower because of high humidity tho.

What to do with a pollinated plant in late flower?

Alright, thanks! No plans to start digging for more seeds, just did some poking around when I got suspicious.

What to do with a pollinated plant in late flower?

Yeah, I've opened some swollen calyxes and got seeds in early development. There's on in the pic as well, right in the middle without trichomes.

What to do with a pollinated plant in late flower?

Just found that my Gelato has started developing seeds. Don't see any bananas, but I definitely got seeds. She's got about a week to go, lots trichomes still clear. Should I just ride it out?

    Nute burn or light stress?

Thanks, everyone! I've raised the light and did a thorough flush + lowered feed EC. Will the curled leaves go back to normal or should I just watch out for them going worse to make sure that the light is at the right distance?

    Nute burn or light stress?

I'm week 6 into flower and I noticed some tips getting burned and leaves curling a bit. No idea if it's because of light or nutes, but here's what I have: Nutes: Growing in coco, watering with EC 1700 solution last week, runoff EC has climbed to ~2100 during the last few days. Light: Mars Hydro...

Honey to heal cut on plant

I'd use wax or superglue. I've successfully used superglue to fix a branch that was 50% detached from the node. Stunted growth initially, now one of the biggest colas.

Day 40, gave her a haircut to expose lower bud sites. Had to improvise with pulling the net down after moving tents, but she's holding the shape quite well.

Climate zones and how to measure "real" VPD

The plant has been happy throughout the grow, but it's just I'm worried about high humidity causing me pest problems. It's my first grow and don't want to screw it up. I have an exhaust fan and filter mounted outside the tent. I have a monitoring setup that calculates leaf VPD already...

Climate zones and how to measure "real" VPD

The zone is only part of the question, the effect of the increased airflow reflected by the numbers is confusing. I have VPD calculated and logged by the controller.

Climate zones and how to measure "real" VPD

I've set up monitoring and automation for my tent, but I've found that different factors change the readings significantly and now I'm not sure if the readings I get are even worth anything. The question is which climate zone is the one that would give the most accurate info of what the plant...

Any advice on foliage thickness? My Gelato is 27 days into flower and I've defoliated on week 2 and 3. Took off some bigger fan leaves on top today as well to give more light to budsites on top. Now the question is what do about the lower ones? Will they get enough energy from the top part of...

Lollipopping/defoliating scrog grow during early flower?

Constantly through the tent, but the tent itself is in a small storage room with an open door.

Lollipopping/defoliating scrog grow during early flower?

It's controller-calculated VPD (vapor pressure deficit = saturated vapor pressure of leaves minus vapor pressure of the environment).

Lollipopping/defoliating scrog grow during early flower?

Because as the air cools it can hold less water vapor. Relative humidity is relative.

Lollipopping/defoliating scrog grow during early flower?

    It's on 24/7. Tent is 2x2, 220m^3/h fan.

That was temporary right after defoliation, I'm still struggling with high humidity, especially at night time. Here's the big picture from last 7 days:
