My tent never seems to drop below 400ppm co2 without any supplementation. Sometimes it's up at 600 on it's own. I have a tank with a regulator but I've only been using it in bloom this go around and have had no negative effect.

12" should be plenty fine. I'd say you may be able to get them even closer. Sup to you on how much you'd like to test those waters though of course.

I go by no regimented time frame. When I see new healthy growth from where I cut it's ok by me to snip again if I feel a need to.

How much space does your lb plant/plants occupy?

I'm onboard w MzToker. Chop as much as you have to in order to get the canopy even. I've always found fimming seems to slow growth far less than topping.
