I found my particular pheno of GG4 was a fast tall grower. Had it in with 3 other strains and it needed a lot more lst and super cropping than the others to keep the canopy in control. Great smoke though. Smallish buds.

so my issue is I’m growing indoors in Canada in the middle of winter with LEDs. Lights on I’m getting around 20c depending on the temps outside but they’ll go as low as 13c lights off. I’m in a heated garage ambient in the room reads 20c. I’m in a 3x3 tent. It’s wall to wall green so no room...

I’m seeing low 50s at lights out and haven’t noticed anything adverse effects. GDP stems and some under leaf is nice purple. Not sure if that has anything to do with temp or genetics or any other factors. But growth wise all is well.

In the same situation as yourself same winter temps. First time growing in the winter. What are you results like with those temps?

Added 4 2’ strips to the setup this new run. I’ll see if it makes a big difference.

I have a GDP that did this recently. So I’d think it’s something that happens.

Do you have anything in your tent with an indicator light? Thermometer, power bar etc?

Could be your lights could a light leak. You grow in a tent? What strains? Was it the same strain both times? Could be generic.

Same here plus I check in on them a dozen times a day lol. We smoke in there so I’d see it before it became an issue. Super excited to start using them. So sick of mixing nutes and pulling the pots out every day to water to run off.

What were you using for lights on those?

Growing with leds in a somewhat heated garage this winter. I’ve had purple leaves on blueberry and GDP since the seeds popped.

Haven’t ran HPS in 20 years. Seems to me we kept it 24” sometimes even closer never remember having bleaching.

Had my LED build as close as 2” from top of buds last run. Never had an issue. Big beautiful rock hard nuggets.

Personally haven’t grown HPS in 20 years just got back into the hobby using diy LEDbuild. But assuming you’re going to fill your space 3oz per should be very easy.
