Well - I know I used to run a 400w HPS with a sealed/vented reflector and still had problems keeping the tent cool. Now I just run one exhaust fan from the whole tent and it stays at like 73-75 degrees. Idk the thermal math, I just know how it works in practice ✌️

Yeah - you're best off looking up vids for ANY light and not following marketing claims. It's a marketer's job to try and stretch the truth to make their product look good! If you're not on a tight budget though, they make a great piece of kit that works for the full cycle without the heat of HID.

They claim it can cover 4x4 for veg not flowering. They recommend at least an SK400 for flowering a 4x4. That 400w led beats the pants off of a 400w hps

I have a 3x3 and 4x4 from Apollo. They're cheap, have a lot of ducting ports, and have worked out really well for me.

I use their SK400 and it works great. Replaces a 600/1000 HPS. I do a 4x4 with one light

The SKs are a bit more expensive than DIY, but you get a warranty and everything and I didn't have to worry about electrocuting myself so that was a bonus for me. Also nice knowing it's waterproof. No matter what light you use though, just get what you can and get started growing. Getting hung...

Thank you! I'm using it in a 4x4 ft tent and I think it covers as good as my 400w HPS did in a 3x3 or better. Not having half the light going up into the reflector and not having the heat to deal with have been great. If anyone is thinking about one I'd definitely recommend getting the dimmer...

I'm giving them 20hrs of light a day, its no wonder they wouldn't get as big outdoors on like 15-16hrs. That one big plant of mine isn't really an auto though so I don't think that's directly comparable. If it had started flowering when it should have it would be way smaller
