If you dont have a vac purge i strongly suggest winterizing it with either 190 everclear or 99.9% iso. The harshness is a combo of waxes and not being purged proper. Winterizing will take care of both.

Yes you can do a heat free evap. Just put a fan blowing over your pyrex. Let sit in dark place for 24-36 hours. Then scrape and enjoy

Thats the same in PA anything remotely good quality goes for 800-1200 per oz. You can get crap for 600-900

For more of a sap consistency id start at 135°f and slowly increase to 145-150°f. This should give you a sap. The longer and higher you heat the more runny it will be as decarb has begun

I definately wouldnt extract with a portable ac running. The compressor can cause a spark. With the portables ac's the compressor is in the unit right where you are extracting.....Very big explosion hazard!

@war i personally just cut bottom off iso container loosely pack container. Put a mesh screen on end and pour thru into mason jar. I always do 2 pour thrus sometimes 3-4 depending on what the liquid looks like

I like the pour thru method usng multiple passes. It is easy to over soak it this way though.
