Other Side of the Fence...Where the Grass is Always Greener

B166 - too cold to bbq outside today. What's you plan for Super Bowl Sunday? You always have something good cooking. We are having meatloaf, mash potatoes, and wilted kale tonight. Not much game watching, so more of a Sunday meal than game day.

    My Nine Plants

Gardening is not an exact science. Yes, you should expect more consistency, but these are living organisms and from my experience each plant take on unique traits. I have found that daily plant rotation helps promote symmetry. Daily, I clock the container 90 degrees and then move the location...

Fantastic job Jon. I like a clean floor too. Keeping everything elevated makes floor clean up a breeze. Can't wait to see your next grow, always enjoyable. :bigjoint: You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to jondamon again.

    Humidity Ventilation

One plant, large bedroom. Plenty of air in there if you purge it everyday. Keep it sealed up to lower your humidity to 40-50% Run fans at the plant canopy to help with preventing mold. Make sure you have good air movement at the bottom of plant by container, trim some of the leaves down...

    Problem with germinated seeds

Propagator should help not hurt. The high humidity helps keep the soil moist, just watch for over saturation. Soil needs to drain well, very important. I use a spray bottle of 78 degree water and saturate the surface of the soil to about 2" deep. The roots need the moist soil or they won't come...

    Third Day of Flower

Just to give you an idea for comparison. Yours plant is great, but you can always do more if you want. My last 8 week veg. under 400w HID. You're getting there, but the plant could use more light and trimming (LSTing or topping) to maximize your results. Takes practice and experience. Just...

    Problem with germinated seeds

Patience brother. Seeds can take a week or more to pop the surface and some seeds won't make it. Just keep the soil moist (not wet) don't want to drowned your seeds. Soil temps around 80 F seem to work best for me. Just leave them alone for a few more days and see what happens. They might be...

    Help

Put your money into lighting first then odor control. Plenty of threads on here to learn about both. CFL is cheap, but the results for new growers are not as good as HID mh/hps (200 watt - 400). LED is out of your budget. If you don't want people to know you're growing, odor control is where...

    Seedling

Seed doesn't need light until after it break the surface in a few days. A germination pad or heater can also be used to raise soil temps, but most growers use their lights from day one for this purpose. 400 w LED no closer than 20" first couple weeks. Good luck on your grow.
