Nah. I know everybody isn't set up for a 1000 watts. I just think shelling out $100+ for a 150 watt bulb is a waste. You can buy 40-60 dollar 400 watt bulbs all day and spend the difference you would spend on that hundred-plus dollar 150 watt bulb on ventilation. I'm not bashing 150 watt...

You don't want the plant to stretch by raising the light. The plant will double to triple in height once you start flowering. Height right now isn't as important as the # of growth shoots. Look at it this way: would you rather have a plant that is 12 inches tall with 3 good shoots, or a plant...

If you add 3 teaspoon per gallon and get 1000 ppm, then it's not 100% organic. It has been supplemented with salt fertilizers. That's not a bad thing, though. But what do I know? I only make fertilizers for a living. :)

If this is your first grow, go with the one that takes the least amount of time to flower. You will thank me later.

A 150 watt conversion bulb is impractical at that wattage- that's why you can't really find them. Once you get into the 400-600 watt realm, you'll have the selection. The reason why you see a lot more hps based systems is because you can grow a plant from start to finish with HPS. MH is best...
