1 or 2 400w hps would get you started just fine imo, but once you get it dialed in you will soon be craving more light lol trust me.

Ive done a few cfl & floro grows and while the smoke was good the yields were never anything special. I switched to hid for flower and will never look back, I do still use floros for veg though.

1000w is definetly not "overkill" for 3-4 plants, they could definitly fill that whole room and He said he wasnt worried bout the electric bill. My buddy uses 1 1000w light per plant!!! I didnt say cfls wouldnt work, but like you said " Your yield isn't going to be all that great"

Imo thats alot of area to cover with cfls (not sayin it cant be done) I would think and hid would be a more efficient choice. A 1000w would cover that about perfectly but you could go smaller.

Plus, mixed with 1/4 of free ditch and selling for 25-30 dollars sounds like a money maker to me! lol Quarters of dirt go for at least 40 around here. hahaha

I used to have a buddy that i bought weed off of and every once in a wile there would be a "special" lil square peice of paper in it that kinda looked like a lil window pane. lol He never told me when he did it so it was always a suprise, Man i miss those days lol

What do you meen by wilting? can you post pics? How much water have you been giving them? How old are they?

Also somthing i have noticed, It seems that some ppl have forgotten that there are tons of ways to do it "right". There egos get big and suddenly there way is the best and everyone else is wrong. this is just something else to get past on this site. You just have to figure out what works best...
