New to medical marijuana

Hello all, I am new to the scene, and I have a walk in closet that is 5' long x 4.5' wide, and 6.5' tall. This is an upstairs room that gets hot in the summer. I was thinking of venting it straight into the attic with a 6" inline fan. In the summer I put a window ac in that room and figured I would use the room for fresh cool air in (vents in door to the closet. Also as far as lighting goes I want to be able to grow 3 - 4 plants but I am worried about electrical system (not cost of electricity) so was hopeing to be able to use cfl instead of hps or MH. If I have to I will but would like to avoid it. So let me have it guys, I want alot of ideas, I will not hold a grudge if something doesn't work, but would like some guidence if you please on how to make this room green.

Imo thats alot of area to cover with cfls (not sayin it cant be done) I would think and hid would be a more efficient choice. A 1000w would cover that about perfectly but you could go smaller.

He's only growing 3-4 plants not the whole room so a 1000w is overkill. You could use CFLs for 3-4 plants easily. Your yield isn't going to be all that great, but you will save on electricity. If you get a couple T5s you should be fine. Best part is you won't give off a heat signature so you won't have to worry about thermal scans lol

1000w is definetly not "overkill" for 3-4 plants, they could definitly fill that whole room and He said he wasnt worried bout the electric bill. My buddy uses 1 1000w light per plant!!! I didnt say cfls wouldnt work, but like you said " Your yield isn't going to be all that great"

THX for the replies peeps. T5 Florescent tube I think that is what you mean for lower color spectrum. Ive done a few cfl & floro grows and while the smoke was good the yields were never anything special. I switched to hid for flower and will never look back, I do still use floros for veg though.

So do you think 1 400watt HPS would be ok? or maybe 2 of them but only if I really need?

1 or 2 400w hps would get you started just fine imo, but once you get it dialed in you will soon be craving more light lol trust me.
