give it like a week and you'll notice a difference. my one plant that wasn't topped has much larger tops, but my topped plant has like 3x as many tops. It'll take a lil bit for the growth to start exploding, but it will happen.

having a lil water in the runoff tray is not bad. Most of the time the plants will end up reabsorbing the water from there, bottom up. it'll help keep them from drying out so quick. granted, if you end up having puddles of runoff and the top of the soil is still dry, something is not right. Ya, the thermometer was in (what felt like) a lil heat pocket. Added a fan to the otherside so that the air is at least circulating; put the thermometer in the same spot that it was at 90 earlier, gonna see how it is in an hour or so. It already dropped to 84 after i moved it into the other pot...

woke up this morning and the cab was up to 90 where the thermometer was. Think I need another small fan in there for air circulation and it will be fixed though. It was directly below the left lights so there wasnt much air moving around...

so you have no way for the pots to drain? that's not good... drill some holes in the bottom of your pot and put it on some sort of tray to catch the runoff.

for sure, it basically drops the power usage by 2/3 when you switch from incandescent to cfls

you should be fine. I messed up on my transplant and the root become completely exposed, a lot of the roots falling off in the process. they recovered just fine.

definitely. I use my spare bulbs in my room so im saving about 150w there over the incandescent bulbs that were in there.

Currently 6. 2x23 w daylight, 2x30w 2700k, 1x40w 2700k, 1x26w daylight. I have some 26w 2700k's to throw in there, Might drop another light fixture in the center with a y-connector with some more 40w. Not sure though, temps seem to be right at a good level and more bulbs will definitely effect...

Didn't think so, just wishful thinking. The other two plants are looking a lil more, shall i say "organic/abstract". I think I have my cab pretty much ready to go so I'm thinking flowering in about a week or so in hopes of a christmas harvest.

I just really didn't feel like setting up an hps. Much easier buying a few bulbs at a time. I will definitely look into one next time around in a slightly larger cab. Will probably keep the cfl's around for vegging/cloning/spot lighting. I just don't feel like ghetto rigging an hps, wanna do it...

i agree. id rather use a 150w hps than 200 w of cfl's (which im doing now). I did my current grow in a rush the entire way through.

actually 19/5. Moved the lights so they're all 2-4" from the plants. Temp was at 73 with a daily low of 70 and high of 84. Door was shut for all but 20 minutes of the day.
