If you can move the fan to say... the attic above the master bedroom to move it further away from the living space it will be harder to hear. Do keep in mind the longer the duct you have the more inefficient the fan becomes.

im in hawaii so I cant help with shipping times to the east coast but I have ordered from them a few times and have been happy every time.
