    12/12 for flowering?? When?

just trying to make it easier. you can put a bag on it for just the period of light if you happen to be around at the right times to take it on and off. for my situtation it's not convenient to go back and forth so keeping it to once every twelve hours is simpler than coming back after a...

    12/12 for flowering?? When?

if you want to keep them flowering they need 12 hours of continuous darkness each day. you can cover them for the night plus a little of the morning and/or evening to get to 12 hours total. sun in the northern hemisphere doesn't reach 12/12 until september.

Grow down first time let me get some feedback

they look pretty good. they could use even more light - 7,000 to 10,000 lumens per square foot of growing area is a good target. since you have no nute burn whatsoever you can probably up the nutes a little too.

just got a 400w hps/mh heat problems in the closet

your fan's fine, your diy carbon filter is kinda risky. even if the carbon's ok, that's not a lot of carbon to absorb a lot of stink.

First time grower , needa bit of help.

you've got other things to worry about other than whether your soil is too hot. people grow in pots outdoors all the time - the pot soil will dry out faster than the ground but that's all you really have to track. instead of pot temp, think pot size. each plant will grow to at least 2 square...

2 week old af. hows it looking.

i can't see how tall your container is. if it's at least 6 inches, i'd keep the plant in that container for about another week. if it's a shorter container you need to transplant soon.

My first grow setup - and my problems - HELP! (Lots of pics!)

come on, some people transplant every two weeks. transplant shock can be completely managed by careful execution. unusual to transplant so young a sprout but if he's careful he'll do no damage, and if he doesn't transplant the baby is going to start out rootbound and probably will never...

First time grower needs some asstintce, pleaseeeeee

a 600 watt light will have better canopy penetration helping your lower branches, but it's not at all unusual to have the lower branches be significantly weaker than the upper ones. look up training techniques like LST, topping, fimming, super cropping - all are ways to manage the size and...

First time grower , needa bit of help.

separate them as soon as you can. the more time they grow the worse the damage to the roots you'll cause by separating them. don't worry if the set of round leaves fall off, if any of the serrated leaves are dying you have a problem. your sunlight's fine. check out the first two links in my...

My first grow setup - and my problems - HELP! (Lots of pics!)

ok, let's see if we can fix this. there are only a couple of things that kill sprouts: 1. soil - read the bag and see how much added fertilizer is in it - you may have a mix that's too strong for a baby. as an aside, you dishes are way too shallow even for a sprout. you want something that's...

10+ weeks into flowering, plants dying, Harvest?

by your logic there would be no such thing as an annual plant, since almost all plants are perennials in the right environment. but if you use, as the experts do, how much of the globe a plant acts as an annual vs. a perennial, and label the plant based on that, then cannabis is an annual...

just got a 400w hps/mh heat problems in the closet

if you can vent to the attic, you're golden. even though it's already hot up there, it's insulated from the rest of the house and usually has plenty of vents to let the new air out. but very difficult to make an attic into your grow room, even if you insulate, without adding a/c. also, you're...

Do these plants look ok? 3 weeks flowering Will they fill in?

your plants don't look light-starved, but just fyi, you want to shoot for 7,000 - 10,000 lumens per square foot of growing area for flowering.

10+ weeks into flowering, plants dying, Harvest?

nothing like a good conversation. anyway, more semantic issues. a plant is defined as an annual or perennial based on its ability to live year round in a specific geography. a plant can be both perennial in some areas and an annual elsewhere. most plants in the world that are annuals will be...

welcome giblet100 - your plants look pretty good, and yes, they will fill in a lot as the plant matures. hey tundra - why you jacking other people's threads? anyway, you need more light of the right color or you're gonna produce squat.

there is no simple solution. in addition to a cooltube or new hood, which is the easy part, you need ducting, an inline fan and a place to send all the hot air, which is usually the toughest problem. plan it all out on paper before you buy anything to save yourself some pain.
