    I'm having trouble with Molassese

I didn't think it required saying that using molasses in a non-organic grow is counterproductive. In an organic grow, it clearly provides a benefit when used properly.

    I'm having trouble with Molassese

How much are you using? I flush with 1 tsp of molasses and 1 tsp of epsom salt in RO water and the plants always seem to love it.

When To Pull Male(s) To Prevent Complete Seeding

Here's something I didn't expect: These are two clones I took from the male about three weeks into flower. I was worried that the pollen I collected earlier and stored in the fridge wouldn't be viable after a couple weeks of storage so when I took clones, I grabbed two from the male. One of...

Bend One Tall Cola Down or Keep Lights Higher?

Here's what the "super-cropped" cola is looking like now: Have to say that I'm really happy with the results. The tip bent up and grow a few more inches and all the nuggets have pointed up and grown as well. Thanks for the great advice, guys.

    Trim or ignore?

I think tyke1973 meant HID, not HPS. You shouldn't use an HPS in veg. Your plants are stunted for some reason. I would guess overwatering and/or over fertilization. Like Tyke said, your plants should be much larger at this point assuming you have adequate lighting.

    Insane's Vertical Stadium - Multi-Strain Garden

Root pruning really invigorates them in my experience. You have to cut them back a bit too but they really take off with fresh new growth.

Is it always better to fim than top?

I get some unusual tangling and delayed growth sometimes when I FIM. I like the FIM results better when it doesn't do that. Topping seems to give me more consistent results.

Please HELP first grow leaf problem

I've grown blueberry 5 times now and your plants look pretty good for four weeks into flower. Are you counting from the the switch to 12/12 or from the appearance of pistols? I've gotten yellowing of fan leaves every time. Kervork is right, you need to use CalMag supplementation if you are...

    Insane's Vertical Stadium - Multi-Strain Garden

You should try root-pruning the Mom a couple/three weeks before flower next time. That really helps.

Did topping ruin my plant or is this normal..

I would stay in veg until you have several new, separated tops.

Did topping ruin my plant or is this normal..

I wouldn't worry about -- it'll be fine. Once it starts to grow vertically again you'll have several tops. Did you FIM or actually top. I see what you are seeing about 50% of the time if I FIM.

    Clones dying WTF?????

Here are the same clones 18 days later: The two funny looking ones in the front-right (second picture) are males that are still producing nutsacks although one of them has actually started to grow it's leaves too. The two in the back left are a different strain from the others that is...

    Over thinking Organics.

Two books for every one on this thread: Wheat Belly and Omnivore's Dilemma. The diabetes epidemic is a result of the "healthy whole grains" movement which has been co-opted by industrial agriculture as a way to trick us into eating their cheaply grown grains instead of the meat, nuts, and...

    Over thinking Organics.

In person, you wouldn't spout crap about me being a Monsanto employee either. The fact is, we are on riu, not talking in person.

    Over thinking Organics.

Now you are just completely full of shit. Would a Monsanto employee say they would not knowingly consume GMOs? No they would not. I agree that there's a connection between our food, environment, and our health. But spouting unsubstantiated BS regarding genetics doesn't help anyone and just...

    Over thinking Organics.

This post is completely wrong and demonstrates zero understanding of genetics. I'm an organic grower, but let's not make things up to further bolster our decision. Unless you are causing mutations with your chemical fertilizers, there is no effect on the seeds. Furthermore, the statement that...

    Lights!?

You have a wide variety of choices. The most conservative/conventional one would be 600 watt HPS.
