Pics, you ask? This is what I use in a 2.5'x2.5' tent. Four QB120 Quantum Boards ($125 with free shipping at Amazon) powered by a Meanwell HLG-240H-C2100A ($60 with free shipping at Arrow). Dimmable from 254 to 83 watts. A tad light for a 3x3, but perhaps something similar would do the trick...

I'm interested in this as well, but for the 120H-54A. Thinking about running my two 288s in one tent, but I want to be able to set them to an equivalent wattage without having to plug them into the Kill-A-Watt every time I want to make an adjustment.

I hear you, man. DIY most definitely is not for everyone, and I do get irritated with those DIY'ers who behave as if everyone should just shut up and build their own light. Hell, if I hadn't wanted to build my own, I'd still be using HPS, because I sure as shit couldn't afford a ready-made fixture.

I don't see where they said that their lights wouldn't come down in price. I do agree that tech prices are on a perpetual dive, and it has always been thus.
