Don't sweat it being broke makes folks creative! Depending where you purchased the bulb you can probably go back and refund/exchange it. With 6 plants I'd go with some longer tubes t8s is what I used because they were pretty inexpensive. 2 bulbs for $6 and the fixture was a garage/shop 48"...

better for flower, it is wise advice to cut the dosages down a bit--maybe even 1/4. You can add a little more each time you use it but it sounds like strong stuff so if you see bad signs hold back a lill.

King - They sell some $25 LED stakes at my garden center for under lighting...I was considering grabbing a couple of those. In the meantime though I will pick up some 2700 bulbs. I go with the LST as well--I do it for space reasons but glad now hearing that the 250 isn't all about the taller...

can you get a few CFLs for your clones and get them out from under that hps? You have your lights somewhere between 18/6 and 24/7 right? Not 12/12?

I grow soil, and seedlings/clones don't get nutes for a couple weeks.

I've read this is typical for clones and that they will grow out of it. Maybe more lights.
