    Double For Nothing

Now that was one very useful post. I have been trying to get my head around this PAR thing, I really need to get a meter. I agree with everything you said, I just thought that as a rule, electronics, and anything that has a heat/cool cycle will wear out slower if you just leave them on...

    Double For Nothing

One reason I did this, was to get away from light control issues. It solved a lot of hvac issues as well. RE bulb life. It is my understanding that it's the on/off cycles that wear out bulbs and ballasts. Though you will buy more bulbs annually, I think it has more to do with using twice the...

    Double For Nothing

Well, nothing's free, but this is pretty close. I have posted this idea here and there on the boards, but thought I should just start a thread so that it bight be of some help to others. I was one of those who set the dark cycle for the hottest part of the day. I am able to use a spare...

    When does curing stop?

I had one nearly dried out last week, dropped it in a jar of pretty wet pot, and it seemed to dry the bud quicker. The pack itself seemed to recharge itself.

Problems with my plant... leaves curling up, dots, tips bending down and getting gray

With lime, ph is a non issue. Don't add anything until the plant shows a need for it.

    replacing bulbs

As I understand it, its the on and off cycles that kill the bulbs. I wonder how long they last if you don't turn them off.

What is this glistening on my leaves?? :/

Wash rinse and repeat, that's a familiar legal term, sorta.

I think you need to read some more. Those items will help you, but not really unless you learn what they are, and why you are using them. The information is here if you look for it. Go into each forum, and trad the thread titles, especially the stickies. Find out about water, soil, light, nutes...

It doesnt change ph in the way you think, it buffers it. The sand supplies silica, which is very beneficial to the plant. Iron, a common ingredient in many fertilisers and a common deficiency in soils made without dirt. ETA easy to get too much iron, which can lockout other nutes, go easy on it.

Like I said, regulate ph with dolomite lime. It's a powder, and it takes a month to start working.

Yep. Until you can get that Ph under control, there isnt much else you can do. Seriously find some dolomite lime from somewhere, and add it to the soil. Get some silica as well. Throw a couple shovel full loads of sand in for the silica. Get a handful of iron filings from the machine that turns...

Chill dude. Seriously, I just lost like 90% of my garden due to bad genetics, I wont have anything to smoke for months. Just keep growing.

Problems with my plant... leaves curling up, dots, tips bending down and getting gray

It can take a couple days for a symptom to appear or to be corrected.

Your soil is designed for aggressive vegetative growth, it's too much for them yet. They will probably grow into it.

If you can get some Dolomite Lime, you won't need a ph meter.

What is this glistening on my leaves?? :/

I don't like the idea of having all of my plants dependent upon a system that if failed, would result in the loss of the entire garden.

I really think you have an overwatering issue here. Have you added nutes? What soil?
