Sorry to double post, but no. Don't cut them off, see if they will heal first. I mean it will divert energy from growing into trying to keep itself healthy, butttttt you won't have to worry about really hurting it, maybe you can still fix it.

Well as long as you leave the bags whole they should have like around two layers They normally work for me =] Now some can be too thin, but normally the generic black brand are well enough. Although the contractor bags are thick AND dark

That depends on your liking, you can if you'd like The sun puts out 10,000 lumens per sq ft on a mid summers day, Cfl's put out about 50/70 lumens per watt. If its really sunny and your plant needs it, then yes. If you'd rather keep it indoors, add more cfl's

More light, you have a single cfl on it now right? Well add more, the more light the better.

What watt cfl? And how much closer?. These are very important factors, Too close you could burn them, too far away will only result in further stretching. As Far as cfl lighting and spectrum, you want 6500k kelvin for seedling and veg( high wattage the better) And for flowering you want 2700k...

so, i realized the soil i was using was, HORRIBLE, so i switched and finally got some organic MG soil and some perlite =] Put in four more seeds to germ, back to the drawing board =o also +rep for roseman, hes been a great help

I am doing my first CFL as well man, yours seem to be coming along well, The first seed i planted never sprouted, so i put four more in to germ, back to the drawing board for me Keep me posted with pics

it says chlorine as well, chlorine is bad for the plants =\

im not very well versed in the art of tube lighting, but as long as the wire can hold them and you set your distance just right, you've got no real problems that i can see
