Your height is a bit tight but it can be managed with careful cultivation. You have about 3', the pot needs about 9", the lamp with an air gap under it needs about 12", so you have about 18" left for plant height. Most indicas grow between 18" - 24" so it is doable. You wont be growing a sativa...
Looks like you have about 4 weeks left to finish.
Yes you have some burned leaves. Don't think it's serious. Looks like you are growing under cfls.
If it were my plant I would be feeding her. I would also be looking for ways to give her more light.
How come you left these decisions till just before you had to go out shopping?
Agriculture is a treadmill. Once you plant the seed you have to stay ahead of its needs. If you haven't thought it all out beforehand, you are not going to be able to keep up.
You've created this urgency simply...
Usually the start of flowering is counted from the time the plant is switched to 12/12. Real flowering doesnt actually start for another couple of weeks. The plant spends the first two weeks stretching in a phase of explosive growth.
Yeah, the RIU interface sux. It's a piece of ready made software for discussion forums, so you get what you get.
As a grower I am somewhere between advanced beginner and retarded intermediate. I feel most comfortable answering Newbie questions. Also, I find the newbie threads more useful...
I use a very similar setup for vegging. I found that a couple of 23W 2700K cfls really stopped the stretching. The plants want red, even in vegging. They dont need as much as they do when flowering but they will go looking for it if they don't get it.
What is the MG Organic Choice like? There is no more FF OF in my area till spring and I am looking for a substitute. Does it have fert pellets in it?
BTW, MG is developing a special line of soil for MJ growers!
Huh? How are you planning to grow plants without soil??? What kind of help do you expect from us?
Usually it doesn't bother me to see a newbie who started growing before getting his shit together. Some people learn by reading and planning, others have to do it and learn as they go. It...
I was thinking about that. I plan to switch my light setup to vertical, hanging low with a curtain of plants around it. I just got a cool tube that is long enough for two bulbs. That ought to distribute the light evenly among the plants, althought the tops and bottoms of the plants will get...
Yeah, dying of starvation. The new growth doesn't look much greener. I would foliar spray some nutes too.
If you transplant her, there will be nutes in the soil but if it were me, I would try and green her up a bit first.
Ditto what everybody said. Apart from being absurdly stretched and pot bound, she looks healthy. If you flower her like that you would be lucky to get 1g.
4000K & 5000K MH bulbs are out of the question. This is not about a shoe string budget. I just want to spend my money wisely. I might get what I paid for, but do I need all of it?
I am considering either a 6500K or a 7200K. I think the standard 6500K is chosen because it provides more energy...
I think I am going to go with the Plantmax 7200k. Since I have the red well covered by the HPS , the MH should do the blue.
The PlantMax bulb has an augmented red spectrum which I don't need but I can't find another 400W 7200K MH bulb.
Thanks everyone for your input.
So what do you guys consider a decent quality bulb? Remember this will run together with a 600W HPS so I don't need full or extended spectrum.
I think I will start with something like Shadeslay uses and once I get it set up, I might upgrade and keep the first one as a backup.
And I take it...
You've talked about growing Haze before and I would like to grow some in my closet but I don't want to run a six month plant. Is there a cross that you think is good and finishes sooner?
Thanks
I dont like couchlock highs. I harvest on milky trichs with just a bit of amber showing.
The quality of the high matters a lot too. Potency isn't everything. You can always smoke more. When you pay $300 an oz on the street you want the maximum stoned for your dollar, but when you grow...
