Negative. I top the 5th to encourage the under branches to adjust, and then chop down to the first set of true nodes (see first page of this thread), train and top, and those become the basis. Those are then topped and trained, etc. :) KC :weed:

Root mass is the most important aspect for being ready to top for this method. Because so much material is done away with on the inital topping, the plant has to have the mass to support regrowth. I like to top at nodes 4 or 5 regardless of leaf/node set (count). @sparky - I let my soil ML`s go...

I`d say you are good to go man. A grassy taste in your buds I have found to be from nutrient burn within the flowering cycle, or excess nutrient not properly dried and/or flushed out. Sounds like you`re good, now just get us a nug-filled-bowl and a smoke report and we`re talking brother...

As I`ve only grown outdoor plants by starting indoors, this is exactly what I do. 18/6 of veg and a 1 hour / 3-4 days over a two week period, usually early June for me. I always called it hardening off ... but I`m not `up` on my terminology either. Best of luck guys, KC :weed:
