Dont the kessils require a lot of height above the canopy, considering their size and all? I have been putting some thought into them if I get a larger cab. 1 in each top corner shooting into opposing corners. Dreams!!!

i try to use perlite with something mixed like vermi or peat, just a little to hold moisture while it germs, and put it about 1/8th to 1/4 inch under the soil, cover and wait. I havent germed a seed since the dark star, but I think it came up in straight perlite. It has to be wet very well prior...

correct, most have a desired effect. didnt get those :D Then the undesired effect, didnt get that either. did get a fucked up taste in my mouth!!
