    Making feminized seeds

I used colloidal silver once to make fem pollen. It didn’t go as planned. I don’t remember the timing of the fem pollen when using CS. The buds are most receptive 21-28 days into flower. So if the fem pollen isn’t viable until after that time frame, I’m not sure about the success rate of...

Identified two plants, male and female. How do I pollinate?

Yes you can. I do multiple buds with different fem pollen. I use the little plastic things that hold your bread bags sealed. Put the name of the pollen on the tag. That way you know what pollen is on which buds.

    Neem oil

I’ve used neem oil for spider mites plenty of time’s. And each time it got rid of them. Here’s what I did. Mix 2 tsp neem oil and a good squirt of dish soap in 1 liter water. Water should be slightly warm to help disperse the oil. Spray plant, mostly underside of leaves, every 3 days for 9 days...

    Multiply the worms!!!

Hmmm, that’s a great idea to just leave them in. A great man, GMM, taught me long ago when making up my soils to put in rotted wood chunks. He said they make great places for microbes to hang out. These would be similar. Sure wish he would come back to the site. When time permits I don’t feed...

Nope, I just leave them on the counter way to long for me to eat. Then I feed it to the worms. Win Win as far as I’m concerned!!

    Multiply the worms!!!

And of course freezing your worm food enables the worms to break it down in half the time.

    Multiply the worms!!!

No, mine take forever and a day to break down. I usually end up taking what’s leftover of them and tossing them in my outside compost when I harvest my castings.

    Layer and spikes.

Yes I did a couple 200 gallon organic soil beds last year and grew a Maui Waui in one and RHB in the other. Ended up with 3+ pounds from each plant. There’s pics on here somewhere.

    Layer and spikes.

WOW that’s a huge bed. You must fill your tent right up to the ceiling!! Yes I have an abundance of worms in my bins. They all started from my compost outside. I use both layers and spikes, and I topdress my girls at 2 and 4 weeks of flower with a 3/4” layer of fresh ewc. They love it!!

    Layer and spikes.

I haven’t checked my ph since I went organic. Being organic helps to naturally buffer the ph. When I water, it’s until I get a bit showing up in the trays then I stop. A few minutes later all the water from the trays goes back up into the soil. So I can’t answer the question about colour or the...

    Layer and spikes.

Yes I have a lot of worms in my planters. What size do you grow with? Are you growing in a tent? No, they do fine. The girls really do like the extra nutrient boost.

    Layer and spikes.

It was layer and spikes day. I amended my 6 gallon planters. Dumped the soil into a tote and broke up the root ball then put it in my worm bin. Removed 3 gallons of the soil. Then I added: 1 gallon fresh compost 1 gallon perlite 2 tbsp Gaia alfalfa meal 3-0-3 2 tbsp Gaia kelp meal 1-0-3 2 tbsp...

Spikes and layers are areas in your soil that have enriched nutrients. Today I’m going to amend my 6 gallon planters with fresh compost and some Gaia 4-4-4. Then I’ll be mixing up some fresh compost, fresh ewc, kelp meal, fish bone meal, coco coir, Gaia power bloom and gypsum. I will use this...

    Multiply the worms!!!

I’ve heard that as well. When I use my ewc, the worms go with it. When I make up some new soil, topdress, use them in spikes and layers. Ewc are a part of what makes my soil living.

Fresh ewc are by far the best thing you can give the girls. Mixed in the soil, layers, spikes, topdresses!!
