When you say black garbage bags are you referring perhaps to the contractor style bag. I thought about garbage bags but figured they'd be too thin. The contractor bags would probably to perfectly.

Thanks for stopping in and leaving the kind words. I think the garment bag would be better for reflectivity if the plastic was thicker. I am currently trying to find some black plastic I can use to line the outside with. I figure if I can get the outside completely covered I will fix 2 problems...

I am by no means an expert but my understanding is that complete darkness is essential. If you don't mind possibly wasting a couple seeds it would be interesting to run an experiment. Perhaps someone with a little more knowledge will chime in soon.

I'll vouch for them 100%. They sent my seeds fast, discretely and with an awesome 21/22 germination ratio. Plants are growing real healthy and I am so anxious to see how the harvest goes.

How far away are your lights? Those little guys look like they are stretching. The CFLs should be as close as possible to the tops. Within 1-2 inches if you can get it that close. This is exactly what happened to me when I started out with CFLs. I didn't know that distance from the light was...
